I am sure everyone has seen these pictures, and I've had them so long I can't remember where I got them from--so apologies to any sources. But I thought I'd add to our archives. It does strike me how much Valter has grown in just a few years!

And a couple other widely-circulated photos, with Joel.

Copied from the Swedish film magazine pdf (see above). Nice photo of Gustaf, film Happy End. There's a feature article in the magazine on page 45. The director is apparently somewhat controversial and had pulled out of the movie Bill is in, which I'll post about in a moment. This is an interesting paragraph from the article. Although Happy End is the third in a trilogy, the director had given up making movies and gone into theater, not anticipating doing more movies. Hence, while this third movie was being made, journalists were not that interested in it, mostly because there was a major "distraction" nearby:
"This time, too, the press weren’t even interested in the
shoot in Trollhättan, despite the fact that media darling Gustaf Skarsgård plays
one of the leads. This was probably helped by the fact that Lars von Trier was
in the area at the same time filming Melancholia, in which Gustaf’s big brother
Alexander was acting alongside Hollywood stars
Kirsten Dunst and Kiefer Sutherland. “The Melancholia actors were staying in a country house in
the area under constant scrutiny from journalists, but we were left in peace.
It suited us fine. We worked well together, without too much pressure.” "

OK--now keep this straight--While Alex and Stellan are filming Melancolia with Lars, Gustaf is filming Happy End not very far away with
Björn Runge, who quite honestly sounds like a more difficult younger version of Lars. Although the prior movies in his trilogy were hits, Gustaf films in peace because all the reporters are chasing Alex and Kirsten. But wait, what about poor baby bro Bill? That same tempramental Björn Runge walked out on a deal to direct his movie, Simon and the Oaks!! He didn't like being dictated to by the money people involved. So, Lisa Ohlin took on that project
and filmed an epic story about the power of art in 52 days. She also somehow managed to squeeze four seasons into
"Simon and the Oaks is one of those projects that
people have been talking about for years. It has attracted financial backing from
five countries, and suffered various re-writes and resignations."
