Yes, Holder will be redeemed, if he even did anything wrong, and even if he isn't redeemed Kinnaman is well on his way to a great career using Holder as a launch point.I have always resented the 'he is corrupt' assumptions from his simple statement that 'the photo worked'. In fact, I think it proves the point of the whole show, that people (both characters and viewers) jump to conclusions about guilt and innocence, 'good' guys and 'bad' guys.I have to agree that Kinnaman won't have to return to bartending anytime soon I think his character Holder is being set up and Richmond framed. Misdirection is a big part of their plot structure. From the pictures I've seen, and from what Susan G told me, the Holder is still working on the case. Two more weeks !!

A rather fine DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 (48kHz/24-bit) soundtrack is offered for The Killing that shows remarkable low frequency extension, particularly during the opening credits, for a television series. Given the nature of the series, much of it is very dialogue-heavy, but opportunities abound to surround listeners in the driving sound of rainstorms, sirens, and police radios. Dialogue is full with only the subtlest hint of clipping from time to timeSupplemental Materials
The audio commentaries provide the most information on here, whilst everything else is just window dressing.

Overall:
What at first seems like it is going to be the usual crime fodder on television opens up and becomes an atmospheric and addictive treasure trove, every episode dripping with its Scandinavian roots, yet artfully realized for U.S. audiences in an American vernacular. This is like Stieg Larsson meets Henning Mankell with the slightest hint of Stephen King for good measure. Highly recommended.
